In Australia, the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) has developed a model anti-doping policy for National Sporting Organisations (NSOs).

This policy references the World Anti-Doping Code (the Code) and NSO funding is conditional on compliance with anti-doping policy standards in particular:

• Maintain and distribute an anti-doping policy that is compliant with the Code

• Provide up to date and accurate athlete whereabouts information to ASADA

• Facilitate timely and defensible hearings in relation to alleged doping infractions

• Educate athletes, coaches, officials, administrators and medical personnel about their anti-doping policy.
